Awaiting courier delivery by ems. Awaiting courier delivery

Many people have encountered the oddities of the “courier delivery” service EMS “Russian Post”. Over the years, the work of the office has not improved one iota. And perhaps even worsened. Maybe in EMS adopted the motto “people are the new oil?” About my misadventures with EMS tells 4at_ina

EMS claims not only to be the slowest courier in the world (judging by the track, the parcel left the Netherlands on September 29th, and arrived in Moscow only on October 14th). But at the same time it wants to become the most fraudulent mail service: they take money for courier delivery (for example, they charged me 2,500 rubles), but do not deliver, forcing the client to pick up the parcel at their own expense.

I don’t know what kind of disaster happened this time with the EMS courier service (the old employees fled, but there were no new fools, the entire fleet did not pass MOT at once and cannot obtain compulsory motor insurance, the miracle managers fell out with the outsourcing agency that supplied guest worker drivers ), but the fact remains: delivery in Moscow has practically not been carried out since the fall of 2017. On social networks, ill-fated clients share the same story: the call center lies every day that “they will deliver it tomorrow,” but in fact they don’t deliver anything, the shelf life expires, and you have to pick it up at your own expense. Reviews on Google about the branch on Vernadsky Avenue, 18 about the same thing. Posts on the Facebook page of EMS itself about the same thing. By the way, the company has already stopped responding to them: presumably, it has optimized the soldiers of the SMM front after the couriers.

Now about technology. Seeing from the track that from October 14th the parcel was on Vernadka, and by the 18th there was no word or word from the courier, I called the call center and ordered delivery on a specific day. I wait, and by the evening I realize that there will be no delivery. I call again, the call center apologizes, fills out a request for delivery for tomorrow. And this kind of marmot continues right up to October 25th. In addition to requests, I leave a bunch of requests, including that it is impossible to get any feedback from the control room. I leave a request on the website using the feedback form. And finally, on the 26th I received an answer:

… “Dear client. For shipment EA12.........95NL, a defect report was drawn up. According to clause 2.17.19 of Order No. 173-p dated June 18, 2014 “Procedure for the acceptance, processing, transportation and delivery of EMS items”
defective items are delivered exclusively at stationary postal facilities and are opened by a postal worker upon delivery to the addressee. When delivering a defective postal item received with a report, the addressee is provided with the report with which it was received for review. If the addressee demands to open a defective item, then a post office employee is obliged to open the item in the presence of the addressee and compare the attachment with the inventory of the item or with the customs declaration. If, after checking the attachment, there is a shortage, replacement, complete or partial damage, then the employee of the post office draws up a report f. 51-v for opening the item in 3 copies in accordance with the “Procedure for registration and delivery of defective postal items.” A departmental audit is carried out on the act. If defective postal item, at the request of the addressee (recipient), was not opened, the shipment was handed over without claims, then the act f.51-c is not drawn up, no check is carried out. The shipment is ready for self-collection. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.”…

In the meantime, a false entry appears in the track about an unsuccessful delivery attempt on the night of October 26th (of course, no one tried to deliver anything) and immediately after it an entry about the shipment being damaged and/or without attachments. That is, like this: it has been waiting and waiting for the courier delivery since October 14th, and from this expectation it suddenly took over and harmed itself, poor thing!

Following by email I receive an SMS with similar content on my phone. At least there is some clarity: you need to go to Vernadka.

I arrive the next day. They take out the parcel. It’s not that it’s not torn to pieces, it’s not even almost wrinkled in appearance. Previously, couriers delivered in worse conditions. One end of the box is rewound with a proprietary EMS with several layers of adhesive tape. Please open it under the camera. An autopsy shows that there is no damage to the packaging under the tightly wound tape: there is an intact cardboard flap tucked inside the box, as it should be. The investment is in place.

I am interested in an employee:

... “Do you have the know-how to force the recipient to go pick up the parcel himself, rather than deliver it to his home?”...

He smiles shyly, looks away, and quietly, standing with his back to the camera, says:

..."quite possible"...

His colleague enters the conversation:

... “We took care of you, we sealed you up so that nothing gets lost”...

They show me a copy of the act on access to the attachment, so pale that it makes no sense to even scan it - it will look like a blank sheet. I could barely see:

The act was drawn up only on October 25th, by that time the brave call center had already repeatedly lied that “they would deliver it tomorrow,” and according to the track the parcel had been lying on Vernadka since the 14th

In addition to access to the attachment, a difference in weight was detected, namely: the actual 2 kg. 5 g., served 1 kg. 824 (that is, the dog could have grown up during the journey?)

Need I say that in the department on Vernadka I met other “comrades in misfortune” with similar stories? Need I say that it is impossible to park at the branch on Vernadka (and there are parcels weighing 20-30 kg)? There is simply no parking near the huge building, neither paid nor free, but there are vast lawns, and the passage to the entrance is blocked by a metal pipe representing a barrier.

Bottom line: in addition to 2,500 rubles for the failed courier delivery, I had to spend a certain amount of time and money on “your call is very important to us”, as well as on pickup. A great way to sell your client one and a half meters of branded tape instead of paid courier delivery! I hope that at the end of the year EMC will show an excellent financial result and will issue millions in bonuses not only to the management, but also personally to the luminary of reason - the inventor new technology deceiving clients.

It was a saying. And I found myself in a funny fairy tale when a certain seller from Ebay sent me a parcel, and it fell not into the familiar and almost familiar arms of regular Russian mail, but into the especially affectionate ones - EMS Russia. One morning I find a sticker on my door from the courier of this service, saying that he brought it but didn’t find it. Well, no wonder, of course - most people are at work during the day, and the seller did not ask for my phone number, as they usually do when a courier delivery is expected. And EMS Russia itself does not consider it necessary to send a notification by regular mail... Well, it’s okay, it happens. I call their call center 24/7, and a polite girl takes my order for delivery the next day with a mandatory morning call from the courier.
We're waiting, sir. No courier, no call.
Once again: we call, a polite girl reports that the parcel is safely in their warehouse (that is, it was never delivered to the courier service, otherwise there would have been some other record), accepts the order, we wait the whole next day... Neither courier, no call. It's not funny anymore.
And now, in fact, the recipe itself: in high spirits, we write a letter to the seller that we cannot receive his parcel for the reason boorish behavior postal service, and we beg him to NEVER, EVER use this same EMS again, since this is simply sheer rudeness on their part. Then we write our review about EMS Russia in Russian and send it to the support service of this same EMS Russia, not forgetting to quote your letter to the seller.
We are waiting. And under no circumstances do we go to their storage warehouse far away (time and principles are more valuable!)
A few days later a call comes from the courier:
- Hello, should I deliver a parcel to you?
- Yes, I want to receive it at my home address today and in the first half of the day (I need to go to work for at least half a day!).
- You know, only in the afternoon.
- Okay, then can you go to the second one at your work address (half an hour’s walk from home)?
- But this is why I can be there in the first half of the day. (I’m quietly hysterical, I slide to the floor).
- Well, let's AT LEAST SOMEWHERE! Let's call and figure it out.

As a result, it still arrives in the second half and to work.

After a while I start looking for another parcel. I watch the tracking and see with horror that again she is still in the same affectionate embrace... I call and ask, and to me:
- And you have already had TWO unsuccessful deliveries, and according to our rules, the parcel is in a storage warehouse, you can pick it up yourself. (I'm already on my way!)
- Why aren’t there any stickers on the doors from couriers??? (What follows is a series of expressive, but deeply parliamentary expressions addressed to their office, which the girl listens to stoically).
- Let me order another delivery.
- Yes, please for tomorrow.
The next day... well, it’s clear that it wouldn’t be EMS Russia if they called and delivered.

IN A FEW DAYS. ON A WEEKEND. When normal people are usually far enough outside the city. CALL IN THE MORNING.
COURIER.
- No, thank you, no need... unless by plane. All the best.
After the weekend:
- And you already have THREE unsuccessful deliveries, and according to our rules, I won’t order anything else.
Wonderful... the path has been beaten, we write to the seller, a copy, with our accompanying text, to EMS Russia.

We no longer call the call center, it will go back, it means it will go away, the seller will either refund the money or send it again by regular mail or even more expensive, BUT NOT EMS Russia. Never-ever.

A few days later the courier called. They bring the parcel (see photo)

The parcel was delivered courier service, attaching a printout of my letter. Apparently for processing speed. Q.E.D. Delivery is the same as in the best houses in London and Paris... I recommend it.

EMS (ExpressMailService) is an express delivery service for letters and parcels. Shipments are made to all cities of Russia and abroad in as soon as possible. One of the main features of EMS is the delivery of items directly into the hands of the addressee.

EMS is an international service created back in 1998 and currently uniting 190 participating countries, between which it is possible to send items using this system. In Russia, the representative of this service is Russian Post.

Sending parcels, parcels and letters by express delivery is much more profitable in financially and from a time saving point of view.

Also, express mail delivery has other advantages:

  • delivery of items by courier in person;
  • the ability to accurately track the location of the shipment;
  • wide geography of service (more than 40,000 post offices throughout Russia);
  • Packing and delivery by courier is free.

Types of shipments and maximum weight of parcels

EMS shipments have certain restrictions on the weight and dimensions of the package. The total sum of the length, height and width of the packaged item must not exceed three meters, and the length of such a parcel must not exceed 150 centimeters.

EMS parcels sent within the Russian Federation may have a maximum weight of 31.5 kg, but other restrictions apply when sent to other countries. Thus, parcels weighing up to 20 kg (with full list countries can be found on the Russian Post website).

Parcels up to 10 kg are allowed to be sent to the Caicos States, Turks, Gambia, Cuba and the Cayman Islands. For all other countries, parcel weight is limited to 30 kg.

How to calculate EMS delivery

Depending on the destination, ems delivery will differ in price: the further the shipment is made, the more expensive the service will cost. You can calculate the exact cost of sending on the Russian Posts website using a special service.

Also, for an additional fee, the sender can arrange additional services:

  • SMS notification about delivery of the parcel to the addressee;
  • content inventory;
  • indication of declared value;
  • payment of the parcel by the addressee by cash on delivery.

Based on this, when sending EMS, delivery can be calculated with an accuracy of a few rubles.

Packaging EMS shipments

The parcel must be properly packaged before dispatch: this process requires compliance certain rules.

But some nuances remain at the discretion of the sender, for example, the choice of packaging. The sender can pack the parcel in any soft shell, cardboard, wooden or plywood box, or polymer container.

It is necessary to take into account possible mechanical effects on the cargo, so the packaging must be selected so that valuables are not damaged during shipment. But the method of packaging when shipping abroad should not deprive employees customs service opportunities to inspect the cargo.

It is better to further protect any fragile and valuable items by wrapping them in appropriate packaging materials, while contact with the walls of the solid packaging and impacts on them should be excluded.

If liquids are sent, they must be packaged so that during the shipment their contents do not leak out due to mechanical stress. It is advisable to line containers with liquids with absorbent materials so that the liquid is absorbed by them in the event of damage to the main packaging,

Powdered substances have their own rules. Thus, dry coloring powders should be sent only in sealed metal boxes, which in turn are placed in durable boxes. Such boxes must contain appropriate protective material inside.

How to arrange express delivery

EMS shipments are processed at the post office. This procedure involves filling out documents using the following forms:

  1. Address Label (Form E-1).
  2. Form required when shipping more than 10 individually packaged items at a time (F 103).
  3. Customs declaration for goods (CN 23).
  4. Customs declaration for documents (CN 22).

The last two documents are filled out for shipments to other states.

EMS parcel tracking

EMS shipments, like valuable parcels, can be tracked using a track code that is assigned to the parcel upon registration. The Russian Post service will help you be aware of the location of your parcel: just enter the parcel’s track code in the appropriate field to see where it is now.

Tracking ems shipments to other countries is carried out using an identifier, which differs from the track codes for shipments within the Russian Federation. In this case, such a code will contain not only numbers, but also letters of the Latin alphabet (the digital code is assigned only to parcels sent within Russia).
